Wolfgang Heiniger graduated as percussionist at the Musikhochschule Basel and studied later electronic music and composition with Thomas Kessler. 1991/92 he was as a guest composer at the computer music center at Stanford University (CCRMA) USA. He writes primarily works for Live electronics and computer music but also chamber music. From 1994 to 2002 he was professor for Audiodesign at the Elektronisches Studio der Hochschule fuer Musik Basel. 2003 he got a call as Professor for interdisciplinary composition of the Hochschule fuer Musik “Hanns Eisler”, Berlin. He also tours as an performer of Live electronic music.
