Georgia Rodgers

Georgia Rodgers is a composer with a particular interest in the combination of acoustic instrument and electronic sound. Her music explores our perception of sound and the experience of listening through direct engagement with sonic material. She is based in London and studies at City University under the supervision of Dr. Newton Armstrong.

In 2014 Georgia took part in the Sound & Music Next Wave programme for young composers, and was awarded the Mercer’s Company Music Prize by City University. Her compositions have been performed by musicians including Mark Knoop, Séverine Ballon and Oren Marshall. Georgia also works part-time as an acoustician for a firm of consulting engineers, specialising in architectural acoustics.
