This event is part of the Composer’s Kitchen project.
This annual workshop gives Bozzini Quartet the opportunity to create ties with up and coming composers who get a chance to hone their art with professional performers.
This unique event revolving around the string quartet is a combination workshop, laboratory, playground, and master class. Over the course of a week, the Bozzini Quartet and two experienced composers will observe the work of six up-and-coming composers. Their compositions will be read, played, assessed, analyzed, worked on, played again, and performed in the closing concert. This gives young composers a unique opportunity to perfect their craft with professional musicians.
The Composer’s Kitchen is open to Canadian composers and composers living in Canada. The Bozzini Quartet wishes to thank the Matralab and the Department of Music at Concordia University for their collaboration in this project.
