Bozzini Quartet is presenting the fourth edition of the Composer’s Kitchen from Sunday, April 27th to Saturday, May 3rd, 2008 in Montréal/Canada. The event will be comprised of readings, discussions, coaching, presentations and a final concert. The Composer’s Kitchen is focused on string quartets and writing for strings. Participating composers are invited to show pieces, ideas, concepts, ask questions and listen to their own and their colleague’s music. Bozzini Quartet and two mentor-composers (Ana Sokolović, Montréal / Christopher Butterfield, Victoria) tr will work with the participants in an informal yet intensive atmosphere.

Bozzini Quartet is dedicated to the emerging generation of Canadian composers, and the Composer’s Kitchen is open to Canadian composers and composers living in Canada. A participation fee of CAN $300 is required if chosen upon confirmation of participation. Travel and lodging have to be organized by the participant.
